Father's Day Thoughts
Father’s Day is this Sunday: I thought I’d share these 10 things I have told my adult children.
1. Travel more – you are only young for so long, with no kids, mortgage, spouse. Start now, don’t waste time thinking about it, just do it.
2. No one can take your accomplishments away from you, so go accomplish something. College, a cool job, travel, meet new people, etc. In other words, start living!
3. Don’t hold on so tight to what is easy, do something that challenges you and you’ll find it’ll give you the greatest reward.
4. Safe and comfortable is for when you are old or ill.
5. Don’t look back and see the shoulda, woulda, coulda! Look ahead in life and look at what you can do right now. Don’t spend the rest of your life wondering what you’ve missed!
6. Everything you want is over there on the other side and it’s not waiting for you, go get it before someone else does.
7. Quit those dead end jobs and build for your dream life. Do something every day, one day at a time, with your eyes on the goal.
8. Ask yourself every morning, do I want to be doing what I’m doing today when I am 40 years old? That age will be here sooner than you think.
9. Learn to be uncomfortable once in a while. Comfort is stagnant and cannot lead to learning and growth.
10. Don’t let people discourage you. They don’t have to live in your shoes, you do!
What advise do you give your children?

8 年Touching.... Currently telling mine the following: - not everyone has good intentions - one day you'll realize you have a cool mom - always find a way to help someone - never let anyone make you feel like you're not important - give the world your smile, your laugh and your heart; the world needs it as much as you do - be nice to each other, one day you'll need each other more than you think #inspiringyouth
