Greetings from Troy,
This one might be a big pill to swallow, but the reason many folks miss HUGE opportunities is desperation.
If there's one thing I'm grateful for, is building up a "runway" or a "nest egg" where I don't have to accept projects I don't want.
Someone is a pain in the butt to work with? I can consider it, or I can look the other way and continue on my journey.
When you build up a "Buffer Zone" or something you can bounce against and you're not screwed financially if something goes wrong...
You can pick and choose.
Choice. Options. Variety.
On a side note, variety is very important for us as humans. It's sort of a human need, we need to see new things, experience new experiences and expand our horizons to really REACH into our "higher selves"...
This all comes back down to Maslow's Hierarchy of needs...
Let's talk about that in "The Study" section...
The Mission
I started Internal Success to help consultants find their place in a market that they love, to give the over-qualified freelancers and skilled workers more free time and higher levels of payment for their work if they so choose to become consultants...
When I was in my construction career, if I had someone by my side giving me tips, tricks, strategies and roadmaps to either land the next big deal, or avoid the big pothole I was about to hit and smash my suspension...
I would have landed bigger projects, enjoyed my work a little bit more, and heck I would have met more interesting people because I wasn't so stressed and over worked all the time...
That's something at the time, I didn't know was available to me.
Anyway, if you're reading these emails know that I appreciate you. Having wonderful folks along this journey is one of the most important parts to me.

Let's keep it to the point, and let's look back at Maslow's Hierarchy.
Safety needs, that part of the hierarchy lends to the point in "The Lesson"...
When we are "fully taken care of" and all of our basic needs are taken care of, we can reach for higher levels. We don't need to accept projects we hate, we can reach for esteem needs, and self-actualization needs. It's really simple, but it's fairly powerful.
I understand we're going through a tougher economic time right now, so Safety needs is all some folks can think about.
If you want bigger projects...
...Build yourself a "Buffer Zone" or an "Oh $%*&!" fund...
Where if things don't go as planned, you're not UP the CREEK without a paddle...you can make empowering decisions, instead of sacrificing and making disempowering decisions.
The Homework
Have you ever built a buffer, or an "Oh $%*&!" fund?
Start taking a small portion from every deal you do...10-20% and put it away for a rainy day. When a project come along that you don't want? You don't have to accept it.
Your house is in order. You will no longer be distracted by projects you hate, and great opportunities that are right in front of you won't get overlooked.
You'll be able to wait for the right deal, and all neediness and desire for the deal will be removed. It's so much easier to sell when you don't NEED the project.
On your side,
Troy Assoignon
P.S. If you're ready to go big in 2025, wire in your positioning and maximize for profit, fun and freedom. If you have a good sized email list or 1000 people or more, or any assets we can leverage we could bring in an ROI in 2-3 months or less with a "recovery offer"...

The truth is that people can also smell desperation and will take advantage of it
