Jetprop Commander Crash Fatalities Reported in California

On April 13 a Gulfstream 695A Jetprop Commander 1000, with registration N965BC, crashed into mountainous terrain near San Bernardino, California, during its approach phase. The aircraft was destroyed upon impact, leading to the death of the lone pilot on board. Originating from Stockton Airport, California, the flight encountered problems with the autopilot system, resulting in altitude deviations and an uncontrolled descent, as indicated by ADS-B data showing a rapid descent rate of approximately -10,000 feet per minute just before the crash. Iran Aviation Incident Report Released

Iran's Civil Aviation Authority has released the final report on the Zagros Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-83, registration EP-ZAQ, incident on December 30th, 2023, near Queshm, Iran. The aircraft, en route from Tehran to Queshm with 127 passengers and 9 crew, mistakenly approached a local airstrip instead of the intended international airport due to navigational errors, lack of awareness among pilots about the airstrip's existence, and failure to follow standard operational procedures. The report emphasizes inadequate pilot training on navigational aids, flawed crew resource management, and failure to utilize flight management systems as primary causes, recommending enhanced pilot training and stricter supervision of adherence to standard operational protocols. EASA Continues Airspace Caution Amid Middle East Tensions

Following recent Iranian drone and missile attacks on Israel, the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) reiterated existing guidance for airlines operating in both Israeli and Iranian airspace. The advisory emphasizes ongoing caution and adherence to all aeronautical publications, highlighting increased risks of miscalculation and misidentification particularly over Tehran. The SARPcheck audit report is a standardized document comprising of a comprehensive executive summary and the complete checklist which also details any possible findings and recommendations raised during the audit. Before submission to the client the report will undergo a QC check ensuring maximum consistency.
