Generative AI is being adopted faster than both the internet and personal computers. Some 39% of Americans aged 18–64 have used generative AI and more than 24% have used it at work at least once a week.

This is extraordinarily rapid adoption. Yet the landmark moment will be when we finally see it reflected in productivity statistics. For electricity and the PC, an uptrend began after around 25% household adoption. Will we soon see the same for generative AI?

Several factors will determine this. First, we need to figure out how best to use the technology. For around 30 years at the outset of electrical power, factories only used electricity for lighting before production lines were restructured around conveyor belts. We’re still not entirely sure of the optimal ways to use large language models in many cases. We know they increase productivity in some areas; studies have shown a 26% increase in developer efficiency . But LLMs’ stochastic, random nature makes it tricky for firms to scale usage. This might delay a productivity uptick but given the speed of adoption, the learning curve—and the gains—should come sooner rather than later.

Base on my experience in corporation enviroment the adoptation is very low less than 5% employee know how to use gen AI effectively.

Is this because the speed of business has accelerated today, as Michael Friedman of NYT would say, or because of the potential of AI?

LLM fundamentally text/sound and imagebased technology is primordially still a 1-dimensional communicative technology. Only when becoming abstract agentic, provided with abstract agency through user operated abstract agents can it be classified as a 2-dimensional generative technology. Only after becoming physically agentic- provided with the physical agents we call robots enabling it to operate in the 3D space of physical reality, can it be classified as 3-dimensional. And only after these robots have gained the capacity to reproduce themselves does it transgress into the fully automated 4-dimensional sphere of reality. As reality is a multidimensional convolutional structure, the dimensional congruence can be difficult to discern-but AI is governed by it.
