Faster vs Sustainable

Faster vs Sustainable

It seems the rat race of entrepreneurship has sucked up the mission statement of "Bigger, Faster, Harder" and I have to admit, I enjoy it.

For any person directing a business, what's better than waking up early and being 3 hours ahead of the rest of the world? Let's face it, the vast majority of your competition don't start work until 9am, at the very least their employees and they are also your competition.

Grant Cardone gets us to push and push, I personally enjoy his books, but there also MUST be another approach, one that is considered, or at least wise without putting on the handbrake of "over thinking".

So just what is a sustainable business?

Rather than leaping into the business books, or digging our quotes from the Stoics and the epic entrepreneurs of the last 100 years, let's take a look in your business.

  1. Are there any elements of your business that are under strain?
  2. What about any aspects of your business that under perform?
  3. Or, create a level of disatisfaction to other areas of your business?

And it's now where we start to look into sustainability, and it really is a case of "We really shouldn't be doing this." And, "It can't go on for much longer."

Those 3 little questions, are just as important to a sucessful business as putting your foot hard on to the accelrator.
