Fast Transit Logistics Sri Lanka Moves 21 M Long Silos from Belgium to Colombo

Fast Transit Logistics (Pvt) Ltd., Sri Lanka. The over-length and over-height items had initially been planned to move from France to Colombo, but the shipping options out of France could not meet the delivery deadline of the consignee in Sri Lanka.

So, our project team had to find other options urgently to meet the firm delivery deadline. We managed to find suitable shipping services out of Belgium that would meet the delivery requirements.

Working closely with the shipper, the solution was for them to arrange to transport the cargo from France to Belgium to meet the scheduled vessel. The first stage worked well, and the cargo arrived in Belgium in time to meet the planned sailing. Fast Transit’s scope of work included planning and monitoring trucking and lifting carefully since the cargo was sensitive and of high value. We also monitored the unloading and local transport arrangements.

In the end, all cargo items arrived at consignee’s premises safely and on time, resulting in a satisfied customer.
