Fast-Paced Environments

What does that mean?
I define it as a work environment where you need to shift focus quickly and purposefully without dropping the ball.
I picture myself juggling all these balls in the air and being successful.
I did it during the pandemic living in the remote arena, where my time was blocked in clear manners. If I were not in a virtual meeting, I would be working on tasks, communications, and projects.
The in-person scenario is drastically different. Interruptions happen more often in the in-person setting. I had many instances where colleagues would come into my office, pull a seat up to my desk, and start to strategize how best to handle a situation. Those moments were important to participate in to ensure colleagues knew they were supported. It just becomes increasingly challenging to complete tasks at hand in a timely fashion.
I would come earlier in the morning and stay late at night. Foks would notice patterns and be sitting outside of my office at 7am or conveniently showing up at the office close to closing time right before the doors were locked.
Then I would sneak in early on Saturday mornings and take care of all the communications and paperwork I needed to get done. It was an attempt to ensure that the train stayed on the tracks in a fast-paced environment, where it is imperative to ensure souls were valued.
