Fast just got Faster.

Sometime in my earlier life as editor on Dancing with the Stars, I earned the nickname “The Hammer” acknowledging my ability to quickly cut a great story. I do not recall who gave me that nickname, but I have always worn it as a badge of honor. After all, I learned from the best and my training with Avid at Pinewood Studios in England did not hurt either. However, I have always felt that there was a limit to what you can do using just a keyboard and mouse.

Rejoice, my deadline tormented friends! Because DaVinci Resolve, the software that I have been using lately for solo projects, now comes with the brand-new Speed Editor. This gadget merges the best of linear and non-linear editing in one smart package! I played around with it for a bit, and it blows everything else out of the water when it comes to speed. So, let’s use this on your next pilot with a ridiculous short turn around, or on those semi-live shows!
