Is fast food ruining your fat loss goals?

When it comes to fast food it does get a hard rap, "It's bad for you", "Don't eat it", "It will make you fat" etc but my question to you is;
- Is it the fast food that is bad or the amount of it we allow ourselves to eat?
What I have found over the years is that people are misled when it comes to fast food and only now over the last server years that most fast food companies will quite happily tell you how many calories and macros are in their meals.
I am very open to telling people about what I eat and the amounts, because I like to have my treats and sometimes I fancy a pizza or burger king, the difference is I know roughly the calories in what I order where some people have no idea and want to know why their weight has increased.
Well let's have a look at some common favourites and see what we get calories wise:
??The typical Big Mac Meal (Medium size drink and fries);
- Calories: 1100
- F: 44g - C:149g - P:29g
??Burger King Whopper Meal (Medium size drink and fries);
- Calories: 1430
- F: 65g - C:185g - P:35g
??Domino's Pizza Mighty Meaty (Large regular crust);
- Calories: 2070
- F: 91g - C:219g - P:102g
As you can see that some of these are quite high in calories which means if you are having one of these at the weekend and still eating your other meals you could be over on your calories by a huge amount, but as I stated above with the question is regards to is it the fast food that is bad or the amount of it we allow ourselves to eat?
Well, my answer is; even on a fat loss journey you can still have fast food but be aware of the number of calories you are consuming, not just in that day but in that week, if you want to have a "cheat meal" and it is as big in calories as some mentioned above you will need to plan your intake of food for that day or days before.
It's all about being clever with what you eat and when the amount of food and the choices you make.
If you want to have a treat you can but don't let one meal ruining your hard work for the whole week, you will regret it and wish you never had that meal which is the wrong way to have a cheat meal.
A cheat meal is something that is planned and is meant to be ENJOYED to the full.
So go make the right choices and don't let your choices of the amount of fast food you eat be the reason you do not achieve your goals.

Have an awesome day everyone.
