Fast Food For an Empire.
After 2,000 years Design/Build Productions creates a Roman style Thermopolium for Bethlehem set.
Here is another example of the structures were creating for Why The Nativity to be released on The History Channel this Holiday Season. This is the thermopolium, which we call, The Tavern Of The Fractured Amphorae. Based upon public dining establishments found throughout the first century Roman Empire, it is a typical public house serving basic fare of the time. Our menu includes: Fish with Garum Sauce, Baked Cheese with Honey, Hot Duck and Crusty Bread served with a very popular Local Spiced Wine.
Continue to look for our next update as we recreate 1st century Judea in rural San Diego for the upcoming Christmas special,?Why the Nativity, to be aired in December on the History Channel.
Design/Build Productions?whose members include Joe Cashman, Doug Rogers, Alex Mackay, Corrie Pickering, Pete Menotti, and Chris Crump, is a full-service company that believes that the right six people can do anything.
