Fast Company?columnist and the author of The Wisdom of Crowds, James Surowiecki recently shined a light on what appears to be the?magic number of pink slips ?for some companies (looking at you tech giants).
“The fact that tech companies are cutting back is not surprising. The industry embarked on a hiring spree during the pandemic, and the slowdown in the digital advertising market and anxiety about a possible recession, coupled with the big hit to tech companies’ stock prices last year, has made “efficiency” a new preoccupation of tech CEOs.
But what is interesting, and perplexing, is the fact that so many of these CEOs have decided that when it comes to layoffs,?about 6% of the workforce is a magic number. ”

1 年when you did in to the recruiting, hiring, onboarding and now offboarding (a kinder but still meaning firing/layoffs) process, there are so many missteps. Turnover has also reached 70% according to CNN article up from 50% so there are a lot of problems to this often very confusing, vague, clandestine process - this concept is based on all the above and much more https://socialstreamingtv.com/news/careernetworks/ cc: Jared T.
