Purpose

This program provides incentives for the installation of high-powered DC fast chargers (DCFC) across California, supporting the state’s Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) goals.

?? Estimated Total Funding: $55M+ ?? Incentive Caps:

  • $55,000 per charging port (150–274.99 kW)
  • $100,000 per charging port (275 kW+) ?? Minimum of 4 and maximum of 20 charging ports per site

  • Initial Announcement: January 31, 2025
  • Webpage Available: March 17, 2025
  • Application Window Opens: July 8, 2025 (9:00 AM PT)
  • Application Window Closes: September 30, 2025 (5:00 PM PT)
  • Funding Status Notifications: By March 14, 2026

?? Who Should Apply? ?? Businesses, nonprofits, government entities, sole proprietorships, and California Native American tribes ?? Authorized representatives of commercial or public facility installation sites

? Eligible Projects:

  • Installation of new DCFC stations with at least 150 kW guaranteed output per port
  • Must be located in California and meet public accessibility and site eligibility requirements

?? Evaluation Criteria: ? First-come, first-served basis for Tier 1 applications (with Final Utility Service Design and Issued Permit) ? Priority processing for projects in Disadvantaged Communities (DACs), Low-Income Communities (LICs), and Tribal Lands

?? Cost Share: No cost share required; incentives may cover 100% of eligible costs
