?Fashionably obscure Maine author announces earth shattering news of career change.

?After 14 years of writing for and speaking to adult audiences Brubaker has announced he is becoming a children’s book author.

When asked why the sudden career change Brubaker responded:

“85% of all business books sold never get opened and of the 15% that do get opened 75% of the buyers only read one chapter. Combine that with the fact that the half of the top 10 best-selling books in 2021 were adult coloring books, I figure I’m in the wrong genre and it’s time for me to make a change. I’m a pretty quick study, it only took me 14 years to figure that out.”

When asked about the potential commercial appeal of his children’s book series Brubaker had this to say:

“I figure if JK Rowling can do it, so can I. I’d just prefer to bypass the whole bankrupt and almost homeless part of her journey and go straight to becoming a billionaire.”

?Okay, so if you hadn’t figured it out yet, that was the April Fool’s Day part of the announcement. In all seriousness, while I’m not quitting my day job as a coach, speaker, and business author; I have written my first in a series of children’s books. And as one of my loyal readers, I wanted you to be the first to know.

?Why A Children’s Book?

The reason for writing it is the fact that childhood anxiety and depression are increasing at a disturbing rate annually. We need to “right the ship” and raise resilient kids because resilient kids become resilient adults.

I believe that if you can reach young readers early in their life (K-6), before they have preconceived notions that get set in stone, you can make a difference in their future. That is why I am writing the Roody Kangaroo series of children’s books.

The purpose of the Roody Kangaroo series of books is to provide parents and teachers with a resource to teach children the power of mindset and importance of resilience. And do it in a way they can relate to at a young age.

Each book in the series has its own unique lesson to help you instill resilience strategies in your children. The first book in the series is titled Roody Kangaroo Moves Forward and will be available in early May 2022.
