GO TRACE - More Traceability, for Responsible Fashion
Traceability rules, tips, events, networking, tools, laws, training and more, for the clothing industry.
Dear GO TRACE Community,
Welcome to the 105th edition of our GO TRACE Newsletter.
From ESG regulations in the EU and California to the growing demand for supply chain transparency, this week’s news reminds us that traceability is no longer a choice, but a necessity.
Fashion brands are facing stricter compliance requirements, as highlighted by two key initiatives helping businesses navigate new regulations, underscoring the urgent need to comply with frameworks like the EU’s CSDDD, which will reshape how supply chains operate.
Blockchain is also at the heart of this transformation. At the "Rediscovering Blockchain" event, experts explored how decentralized technology can build trust at scale, a principle that applies directly to fashion’s need for verifiable sustainability claims and Digital Product Passports (DPPs).
But beyond regulations and technology, traceability is ultimately about responsibility. As Catherine Dauriac ? Fashion Revolution France reminds us in her feature this week, traceability is key to ethical labor practices, environmental accountability, and consumer trust. It’s not just about meeting legal requirements, it’s about reshaping the industry for a more sustainable and transparent future.
The question is no longer if brands should invest in traceability, but how fast they can adapt to this new reality.
Let’s dive into this week’s key updates.
