This season, sports fashion not only leaves the gym, but also merges with trends to unleash athleisure. A style that these six sports brands perfectly embody
Leisure or sport? Fashion decided a long time ago to stop choosing and entrusted itself to the honeys of athleisure. A term already habitual in fashion editorials and that for more than a decade has returned season after season with more force than the previous one.
However, far from wearing out, the last year has helped the roots of this style (which advocates mixing sportswear with other more sophisticated pieces) to become even more buried in our aesthetic imagination. Because in a year in which comfort has prevailed and leggings have become a second skin, it is not surprising that elastic fabrics and cotton have climbed the ranks in our order of stylistic priorities.
But how is athleisure defined in 2023? Well, it is well known that in fashion nothing disappears but only transforms and, in the case of athleisure, this transformation has been given by the rise of ath- to the detriment of -leisure. Or, what is the same: this spring summer comes with more sportswear than ever.
In fact, we have already been able to see how, protected by the relaxed spirit of Los Angeles, numerous celebrities have laid the foundations for what is to come. Namely: sportswear accompanied by jewelry and luxury accessories. From the sneakers of the moment dressing up romantic dresses, to it bags that are mixed with cycling tights and even -oh yes- heels that accompany tracksuits. The rules are to be broken and, this 2023, the only premise is that it seems that everything catches us between the gym and a business lunch.

A maxim to which many firms have adhered in recent times and which we have compiled today to create the definitive guide to sports firms that look to the world of fashion without complexes. Or, in other words: signatures that show that athleisure is here to stay.
Sporty and Rich
Although after its creation we already told you about the Sporty & Rich phenomenon and its revolutionary drop sales system, the firm founded by Emily Oberg has managed to find the perfect balance between vintage and sporty aesthetics. Born from a moodboard that would later become a fanzine to become a cult brand, Sporty & Rich is the favorite of celebrities like Hailey Bieber or Blanca Padilla thanks, in part, to its viral slogan “Be Nice. Get lots of sleep. Drink plenty of water”.
A message that is repeated in its collections, marked by basic garments and luxurious accessories (such as pearl anklets or even some wallabees in collaboration with Clarks) and that has not only managed to position it as one of the most popular athleisure brands of the moment , but has achieved precisely what it set out to do: capture all the sporty & rich faces of Hollywood.
