A couple from Lincoln were going about their Sunday chores, cleaning the bathroom of their newly rented property, situated close to the Cathedral, and a loose panel caught their attention.
Once removed, they could see a large slab of stone carved in the face of a Lincoln Imp. They contacted the relevant authorities, and it is thought that the opening of the imp's mouth is, in fact, part of an 'elaborate drain' dating from the mid to the late 14th?Century. Further investigations will reveal if there are more relics boarded up in the house. Watch this space...
