A Fascinating 1950's Museum part of the Cae Dai Trust near Denbigh Wales

"Before I start sorry about the poor quality of the photos don't let it put you off.........this is a fascinating place run by a lovely guy called Sparrow.......how sweet

I recently spent a lovely day out with my wife Lorna, my brother David and my sister in law Carol, at a 1950's museum which is situated on the road to Nantglyn, near Denbigh. The museum was established in 1992 by the delightful Robin 'Sparrow' Harrison, who provides help and support to adults who suffer difficulties with mental illness, drugs, alcohol or depression. There is also a working farm with sheep, pigs and poultry.

The museum houses a number of classic cars, including a shocking Pink Cadillac AND the original Great Train Robbery lorry ! There are many room setting including kitchens, sitting rooms and a shop. In addition there are ares devoted to music, radio, TV, film, clothing, toys, crime and a sitting room with a 1950's TV.

I can't recommend this place enough, it was a real wonderful experience to be transported back to my childhood. Myself Lorna, David and Carol enjoyed our short visit. The owner and curator Sparrow is a real genuine guy who loves the place who has spent many years amassing a vast amount of items with the simple aim of entertaining visitors. Also his commitment to helping others less fortunate than himself is to be applauded. Please don't miss this special place.
