The Farther You Go the Less You Know!
Top of the weekend my friends! The farther you go the less you know!
Those are the words of Lao Tzu, an older contemporary of Confucius and the founding figure of Taoism in China.
Now what I’m about to suggest smacks of some self-psychoanalysis and quite frankly may even include a bit of therapeutic value for all of us?
For instance, Do you keep doing the same things, the same way and expect a different outcome? You know, like the way a child will keep picking at the same sore?? Then please come a little closer.
Before I continue this is not totally about religion! However it could be referred to as a “Spiritual Mixer”!
Could you unconsciously be mining memories of repeated mistakes mixed with dangers of leveling attitudes without realizing it? Then your actions speak so loud I can’t hear what you’re saying!! You Know?

Teaching without words and work without doing are understood by very few. Yet when actions are performed without unnecessary speech people say we did it. The farther you go the less you know!
As a side note, guess how much of our DNA do we share with other mammals? The National Institutes of Health (.gov) reports we are bound 90% genetically similar to most other mammals. Proof positive, we truly are sheep in wolf’s clothing!
Add “the concept of "acting like sheep" often refers to our tendency to follow the crowd or conform to social norms, which is linked to complex social behaviors influenced by a combination of genetic factors related to social cognition, group dynamics, and our evolutionary need to belong, not a single gene causing sheep-like behavior” (quora.com) Hummmm?
Have you been a little sheepish lately? Read these closing remarks from Lao Tzu.? “Knowing ignorance is strength, Ignoring Knowledge is sickness. He who does not trust enough will not be trusted!
I’ll close with this quote from Calvin and Hobbes’s cartoonist Bill Patterson who said “I wish people were more like animals. Animals don't try to change you or make you fit in. They just enjoy the pleasure of your company”.
The farther you go the less you know! Donut you forget it!
