Farewell WYG, hello Pell Frischmann

On the 8th January I will be joining Pell Frischmann. During my eleven and a half years and ten roles at WYG I have worked with some incredible people and made many good friends. Good luck for the future to all of you. Inevitably I have gathered some lessons learnt from my time working with various teams, clients and partners;

  • change is inevitable, you can't influence what direction it takes if you're trying to ignore it
  • if people don't understand you, the issue is with your communication style not their intelligence
  • collaboration does deliver better results but it will take more effort to achieve them. If you can't see the point in challenging your own thinking, then you've probably already failed
  • you don't have to agree with someone or even like them to learn from them
  • beware of those who use change to create the illusion of progress

Not exactly rocket science, I know but...
