Farewell and thank you AT&T!

On my final day at AT&T before retirement, I have a lot of emotions, but I am overcome with a feeling of gratitude for the people here. Those on my teams know my 3P’s philosophy: People, Purpose and Passion and how important it has been as a foundation of our culture. The people here have always been truly amazing. I’ve been blessed to work with all of them, to call them my teammates and family. They performed at a world-class level no matter the situation. They are and will continue to be the number one team in the industry and it has been my honor to lead them. I like to win (a lot!!!), and I believe AT&T is one of the greatest companies on the planet, but I was always passionate and loved coming to work each and every day because of the people here, period!

I know AT&T is poised for greatness… they will grow and thrive in our industry and I will wish all of my former colleagues all the success they can imagine in the years to come. This company is destined for great things.

I get asked a lot what I’m going to do next. I can’t answer that yet but for now, I’m going to spend a lot of time with my wife Suzanne, our children Mitchell and Sydney, and our parents. Whatever I choose to do in the years to come, it will be with knowledge and gratitude that I carry forward the DNA of the individuals and teams among which I’ve worked… the world class leaders who guided me the last 27 years and those I’ve been honored to lead.

With all my heart, thank you to the AT&T family, good luck and I will be watching and cheering for you!
