Farewell team, and thank you

After 6.5 years, it’s time to move on from Wolfspeed. Having the opportunity to lead the Digital Transformation, the IT organization, and work with so many talented people has been a true privilege.?Our “One IT” organization has made tremendous progress, and I sincerely thank each of them for their commitment, perseverance, “can-do” problem solving, and support.?As a team, we accomplished remarkable feats (despite Covid!), including, but certainly not limited to:

  • Implementing SAP S4 Hana, converting from Oracle EBS
  • Designing, installing and ramping the digital architecture and multiple data centers for the world’s largest 200mm Silicon Carbide Fabrication facility
  • Implementing a global leading cloud-based Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
  • Creating and deploying a robust, end-user enabled enterprise data & analytics platform
  • Strengthening the company’s cybersecurity architecture, tools, policies and practices, incident response capabilities, and instilling a cyber-aware culture
  • Establishing the company’s first Global Capability Center, in Belfast, Northern Ireland
  • Upgrading the HR, Payroll and Time & Attendance solutions to leading cloud-based platforms, in partnership with our great HR team
  • Delivering on 2 complex divestitures’s TSAs

After taking some time off to recharge, I look forward to identifying opportunities to apply my extensive transformation experience and the many lessons learned along the way.?Congratulations to Priya Almelkar on her promotion to CIO at Wolfspeed - it’s awesome to see my first IT hire become my successor; she’ll continue delivering and thriving as she always has.?To the rest of my team, senior leadership team peers, and key partners (internal and external), thank you from the bottom of my heart - it was an honor working with and representing you and through the many challenges we faced; I will miss you all dearly and look forward to seeing you at various events in the future, or whenever our paths may cross again.?Thank you also to Charlotte Carnell , who was not just my first hire at Wolfspeed and eventual HR Business Partner, but also a trusted friend, confidant and ally.?Thanks to Neill Reynolds for trusting me four years ago to make the Transformation idea a reality.?Finally, Erin Baum - couldn’t have accomplished all we did without your partnership, thank you.

I'll leave you all with one of my favorite quotes by Henry Ford - "Whether you think you can or can't....you're right." Farewell for now!

Thanks again team - Chris Sellers , Stacy Mallon , Lance Lambert , Craig Chvatal , Phani Bodd , Alex Won , Erica Cobb , Calvin Cheng , Ross Cain
