#Queen ?has eft for her heavenly abode after living 96 long years making a history in the Kingdoms all over the world for being the longest serving Queen for 70 long years. I think she was just amazing. A charitable woman, who took her time to help in WWII instead of sitting and waiting for the war to end. The woman who broke protocol to go to a funeral to send a great friend of hers and this nation a good farewell. (Winston Churchill) The woman who tries her best, and beyond for this country. Without parallel. If ever a monarch commanded respect and affection, it must be this Queen. She espoused so much of the best of this country’s principles through an unstinting, dedicated, selfless 70 years of service to both the UK & the Commonwealth.
For me she is one of the world’s genuinely exemplary people. Let’s avoid the debate as to whether she is Queen Elizabeth I or II (Scotland vs England numeration). She has been a constant in so many peoples’ lives. Like the pilot light in your boiler, silently and efficiently fulfilling a vital role that it was created to achieve - you don’t always know it’s there but you will bloody miss it when it’s gone. In the role she was born to she has excelled. We and the wider world are lucky to have her. I could go on all day. She’s a wonderful lady; sophisticated, a nice laugh, and if I most say: a very pretty woman. Head of the commonwealth, raised billions for charity, and brought nations together in peace and not conflict. It’s sad to know that people wanted her abolished and the monarchy to go with her. But you see: no one could defeat Queen Liz!
When her father died in February 1952, Elizabeth – then 25 years old – became head of the Commonwealth and Queen regnant of seven independent Commonwealth countries: the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Pakistan and Ceylon. She has been the longest serving monarch, and Prince Charles is probably the oldest Prince who’s next in line for the throne. He’s like 73 years old and he’s still a Prince because Queen Elizabeth was still alive.
Following is the poem received today, I don't know who is the poet but the words are simply beautiful.
Phillip came to me today,?
and said it was time to go.?
I looked at him and smiled,
as i whispered that "I know"
I then turned and looked behind me,?
and seen I was asleep.?
All my Family were around me,?
and I could hear them weep.?
I gently touched each shoulder,?
with Phillip by my side.?
Then I turned away and walked,?
with My Angel guide.?
Phillip held my hand,?

are Monarch's every day.?
I was?given a crown to wear
or a Halo known by some.?
The difference is up here,?
they are worn by everyone.?
I felt a sense of peace,?
my reign had seen its end.?
70 years I had served my Country,?
as the peoples friend.?
Thank you for the years,?
for all your time and love.?
Now I am one of two again,?

I don’t know anyone in this world that didn’t adore her. She was universally loved and respected. We utterly dreaded losing her one day. We truly wished she could live for ever. We would all fight and die for her. She meant everything to us. No monarch will ever come close to her. Rest in eternal peace the Queen. Honestly, I think future generations will refer to her in the same breath as Elizabeth I and Victoria. She has ruled with grace and dignity in an era of unprecedented change (the world has changed over the centuries, obviously, but those changes were so accelerated during her reign that they are dizzying).
She has had issues with some members of her family—I will submit that, unlike past monarchs’ children, none have tried to kill her—but no more than practically every other head of household of her era. Yes, she was the most favourite Queen of the UK and other countries, but she was functioning as Queen of the World. Like John Paul II (someone mentioned above-good analogy), she supersedes her job and has become beloved by millions. A steady presence in the face of chaos. Dear Queen Rest in Eternal Peace
