Farewell, Mistral

As I say goodbye to Mistral , the company I co-founded with my friend and business partner Sanin Saracevic , my heart swells with gratitude and nostalgia.

Over the past twelve years, and an additional year under the umbrella of HTEC , this journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.

From the very beginning, our mission was to create something different. We aimed to challenge norms, and push boundaries. Together, we built Mistral on a foundation of collaboration, innovation, and determination. Our journey was guided by our core values - People First, Culture of Trust, Passion for Growth - values that we lived every day.

First of all I want to thank my family. Their unwavering support was my bedrock. Their sacrifices, and encouragement were the fuel that propelled me through every challenge and triumph. I know it wasn't easy, and I am eternally grateful for everything.

Our competitors weren't just competitors; they were friends who pushed us to excel. We all grew together, shared insights, and celebrated each other's achievements. I extend a heartfelt thank you for your friendship, and the camaraderie that transformed competition into collaboration.

The heart and soul of Mistral were always the people. I had the honor of meeting and working alongside some of the most incredible individuals, each bringing their unique skills, perspectives, and passions. The friendship we shared made every challenge look easy and every success rewarding.

The team I've collaborated with the most, and which will continue to work and achieve even greater things than we have before, has become like a family. With a song, they tackle every challenge, prepared for any situation. Such energy and unity are rarely seen. I will miss learning from this vast source of knowledge. Throughout our journey, nearly thousand people have been part of our story. Among them, I want to highlight a select few who've left an indelible mark. They've been instrumental in my personal and professional growth — leading, guiding, supporting, and offering unconditional friendship and love. They saw the best in me, stood by me in times of uncertainty, and helped shape who I am today.

Sanin Saracevic , your remarkable ability to see beyond who I was when we first met, and your determination to guide, mentor, and challenge me, have been instrumental in shaping me into the person I am today.

I know it hasn't always been easy, but together we formed a perfect team. Yin and Yang, as we used to say. Watching you work and having the opportunity to learn and gain knowledge from the best is a gift that only a few receive. The story we began telling years ago may not be exactly how we imagined it, but it's certainly one that will be retold for many years to come. I believe it's time to take a well-deserved break.

Azra Saric , what began as an English language class has grown into an unbeatable team. There hasn't been a task where I couldn't count on you having my back, nor an event where you weren't my support. I always knew you'd be the voice of reason when I veered off track, that you'd be my ally and fight for me whenever it was needed, even if I was in the wrong.

Jasmin Azemovic , it all began with you as my professor, planting the seeds of knowledge that would later grow into the foundation of what Mistral has become.

Your impeccable way of imparting knowledge and your interest in how that knowledge was applied motivated me to strive for perfection in everything I did, many times not to disappoint you. The time you consistently set aside for me as a student has inspired me to dedicate time to others as much as I possibly could. Your friendship and loyalty are beyond measure.

Mustafa ?uvalija , having someone like you as both a colleague and a friend has been an absolute delight. Your support, advice, and unique perspective on reality have been of immense value. The greatest gratitude I owe you is for safeguarding our mental well-being, especially during the initial months of COVID when you were on a mission to keep our sanity.

I will never forget your ability to ease even the greatest problems and help find a positive thread in the worst situations, ultimately leading to excellent outcomes and, most importantly, a smile on our faces.

As I step into a new chapter, I carry the lessons, memories, and friendships forged at Mistral . This journey has been an incredible chapter of my life, one that I will forever cherish.

While my professional role may be changing, my connection to each of you remains steadfast. As I embark on new horizons, I'm excited to witness Mistral's continued growth under the capable hands of the HTEC .

Here's to the memories, the shared laughter, the challenges surmounted, songs sang, and the triumphs celebrated.
