Farewell Hodges, welcome Coronis.

Dear Hodges Staff, Directors, and Supply partners,

After an incredible five and a half years as Group Chief Executive Officer of Hodges, today is my last day in the role. It has been one of the biggest privileges of my life to lead Hodges and work alongside our amazing staff and supply partners. I will always remember my time with you as a period filled with adventure, incredible people, and amazing achievements.

You work for the longest running Real Estate company in Victoria, every day when you go to work you create a part of that history. As I sit in front of my Hodges computer for the last time, I find myself reflecting on my time here. It was very important to me that I left a legacy from my time at helm. For those long-standing employees, you may recall, 5 ? years ago, when I stood in front of the entire company and stated, “I want us all to create a history that our future selves will be proud of”. That history can never be changed by one individual, it needs the whole team to create it. We have seen so much change over the last 5 ? years, from our branding to a paperless customer experience, and on the most part have we have taken that all in our stride. Creating history isn’t about any one person, it’s about a company, it’s about all of you.

This year in particular, I have been immensely proud of our company. Working to keep the industry open and allowing our customers to keep a roof over their heads, was the most important outcome we achieved – and we did it, together.

My time with Hodges has been extremely rewarding, which is why the decision to move on to a new challenge was so difficult. I have had the pleasure of working our amazing corporate team - Phil, Molly, Sam, Jess, Mick and more recently Karli, and many others who have been a part of the team over the years. I have also had the privilege of working with our Board members, with a special thank you to Andrew for your continued support.

In 2021, I will be taking up the role of creating a new National Franchise division for Queensland’s highly awarded Coronis Real Estate. Our Directors had the privilege of meeting their owner Andrew Coronis and their key personal at our Noosa conference last year. I, like you were very impressed by their focus on staff, process, and high performing teams with the rewards to match. Hodges you set the standard high, and in making to the move to Queensland there was only ever one organisation that I would work for and that is Coronis. I am very privileged to be given the opportunity to help them take their business to the next national level.

Hodges has been like family to me, so leaving was quiet a difficult decision. Like when most family members move away that always stay in touch, and I am certain we will do just that.
