Farewell Gala

After about two years of being hardworking, loyal and a committed colleague and having successfully managed a range of Bingo Clubs it is time to move on. Gala wasn't just a job for me, it was something special that was a huge part of my life...a true love so to speak! My time in Aberdeen in particular will continue to be something I cherish in the years to come.

I had full accountability for the overall Club performance and achieving the Club EBITDA budget. I was also responsible for maintaining high business standards and exceptional customer service in the sites that I managed. Gaming regulations and obligations under Health and Safety legislation and Food Hygiene legislation were adhered to at all times. I ensured that Company processes and procedures were followed in compliance with current employment legislation. I also recruited, trained, coached, developed, disciplined and performance managed my teams as necessary.

I achieved a range of awards from Specialist Entertainment, Employee Engagement and Social Media. I was the key link from customer to the organisation in my clubs and I met a lot of special people along the way. I made a lot of friends and contacts, I like to think that I had a positive influence on a great number of people across the clubs that became my homes.

But most importantly I had a lot of fun and learned a thing or two along the way. I move on feeling proud to have worked for Gala but excited that I am taking the right next step for myself in my career back into the Health & Fitness industry which is my true passion. I don't regret working for Gala, stepping into a completely different industry was great and I will continue to be an ambassador for the organisation in the future.
