Farewell...

So, it is with great sadness that I have to announce that today is my last official day as an employee of The Executives In Sport Group. It goes without saying that the last few months have had a crippling effect on the world of sport, and the resulting knock on effect for those of us that recruit into this industry has been, and will no doubt continue to be for the foreseeable future, extremely challenging. I’ve been on an amazing journey with the company; working with fantastic colleagues, developing relationships with some great clients and candidates, and delivering a huge and eclectic range of contingency and search-based projects. Had times been different, I certainly wouldn’t be departing. I’ll be leaving behind an extremely capable and professional team who continually strive to be the very best at what they do; ensuring that exceptional service and a never-fail-attitude to any project always remain a central ethos. Under the ever innovative and inspirational leadership of Darren Simmons, somebody who genuinely puts the reputation of the business, the building of relationships and the delivery of projects above the desire to make a profit (a rarity in the recruitment world), I’ve absolutely no doubt that the company will continue to go from strength to strength when things begin to return to some semblance of normality. Whilst there’s normally never a good time not to be in work, I can safely say that for me the timing is perfect as it gives me a rare opportunity to be a full-time Dad to my two very young children – a job that I’m sure will be the most challenging but most rewarding of anything else I’ve done to date. I wish The Executives In Sport Group and all those I’ve worked with (colleagues, clients and candidates) over the past few years all the best during these challenging times and I hope that I’ll get the opportunity to work with you again at some point in the future.
