Farewell 2020 and Thank You...

Now that we have fully entered 2021, it's time to put 2020 behind us and focus on the NOW— focus on the FUTURE. But before we can do that, we need to look back on a year that isn’t going to be forgotten anytime soon.  

2020 was an up and down year. Some companies had one of their best years yet; however, many companies had one of the worst years they have ever experienced. Companies had to let people go, reduce hours, find creative ways to cut costs, and more. Friends and colleagues had to step outside their comfort zones in their day-to-day routines in order to just keep business flowing.  

At some point last year, many of us saw things take a turn. We suddenly had crazy increases in email, zoom meeting after zoom meeting, phone calls, texts, etc. Everything seemed to be moving faster than we could handle. But guess what? We did it.   

Not only did we keep up, but we also learned to adapt to new processes and to honestly change, in general. Processes were modified to increase business flow and client retention. Everyone had to take a part in familiarizing themselves with the constant changes and fluctuations within the industry due to shutdowns. We worked together as a TEAM, more than ever before.  

When I say it’s time to put 2020 behind us and move forward, I’m not telling you to forget it. 2020 taught us so much. It brought us together. It strengthened us. It brought exciting and new opportunities. So, should we forget it completely? NO. We learned valuable lessons from it, and we can continue to learn from it. But we must move forward. We must continue to learn and adapt to the present.   

Is it going to be hard? Maybe. But hard doesn’t mean impossible. And I promise you, 2021 is going to be an exciting and fun experience for us all.
