Fare Bella Figura - Make A Good Impression, Be A Sharp Dressed Man, Episode #5 (Video here:https://bit.ly/3QzL8Zx)
I run my own soft skills training franchise business in Tokyo and many years ago, I decided to dress for success. Each day I consult my schedule and that day's work content drives my satorial choices. Before I head out the door every day, I check myself in the mirror and ask, "Do I look like one of the most professional people in my industry".
This day I had a lunch meeting with a prospective client and an evening presentation demonstration class event. I wanted to look sharp, considered, professional but also open and welcoming to the potential client and to the evening class participants.
I chose not to wear a navy suit this time but my grey, subtle window pane pattern Corneliani single breasted suit with double cuffs, side vents - it is an old favourite Custom shirt was white collar and white French Cuffs with blue cufflinks, grey/blue stripe which was an unexpected gift from my tailor. Black strap Cartier Tank Francaise watch, Etro pocketsquare with my usual three wave fold which I like because it is neat, ordered, subtle and reminds me of catching blue roller waves when surfing in Australia, blue Etro tie with double Windsor knot, high shine black Pollini Oxford shoes.
