FAQ's on Human Rights & Discrimination in Guernsey
In Guernsey we have no Multi Ground Discrimination Legislation. We have been campaigning for 13 years for Disability discrimination and other grounds such as Race have waited for more than 50 years for protection.
On the 15th and 16th July 2020 The Committee for Employment and Social Security (ESS) brings its proposals for the Discrimination Ordinance to the States for debate. To assist with understanding the proposals we have built a library of frequently asked questions and our answers. You can view these on the GDA Guernsey Disability Alliance website
What can you do?
We encourage all equality ambassadors to show their support for the proposals:
- on the Steps of the Royal Chamber 9-9:30am 15th & 16th July
- by writing to Deputies
- by sharing social media and your own comments #RightLawRightNow #LegislateEducate
