I caught up with Nicklas, we concurred that it would make more sense for clients when we focus on "Reduction before Production". Just imagine if Uni of Adelaide wanted to solar power this plant it would be easier and substantially cheaper than if it was a chilled water plant.

Besides the energy efficiency, the most salient benefit as I see is that plug fans do not suffer from the same system effect as centrifugal blowers. How many times have we commissioned an AHU with centrifugal blower fans and found that we have lower air flow than designed? ... just because system effect was missed out!

Like you I can see its purpose but we need some additional explanation , We are installing large volume low operating time fans to remove? heat that ingressed from the previous day but allow this only if Nature has provided cool air below our operating set points of a building . do you beleive this is what these groups are doing ??

Am I correct in thinking that this fanwall can be considered a 'modular fan system' Huey, which can substitute an otherwise large fan in a mechanical ventilation system?
