Fantom Stops Doors and Takes On The World.

Let’s face it. A doorstop is probably the very last thing your priorities list…if it actually makes the list at all.

And, unless it gets brought to your attention that there’s something better out there than that bright yellow five kilogram weight you bought in a fleeting moment of fitness, or that hideous figurine anonymously left on the wedding gifts table, you’re probably not really all that interested in.

But, what if a doorstop was actually cool?

What if there’s a doorstop out there so cool that it racked up 15 million views in just two weeks when launched in 2016 and is now sitting at 25 million views plus?

The Australian Fantom doorstop system is just that.

This discreet innovative device is taking the world by storm as people begin to realise that this unique flush-mounted, non-trip little gem spells the end of toe stubbing, loud cursing, and spilt coffee with subsequently stained flooring.

The revolutionary Fantom doorstop is simplicity itself.

With its genius magnetic operation, minimal parts, ease of installation, and cost effectiveness, this clever device is the brainchild of South Australian entrepreneur and reality TV show winner Mark Sellar. Mark founded Fantom Hardware as the first company under his now global HGT Innovations banner.

The Fantom doorstop uses smart mechanical technology whereby a concealed powerful N33 Neodymium rare earth magnet sitting against a striker plate in the base of any door draws a zinc-plated steel pin out of its smooth flush mount housing in the floor.

This unique striker plate design holds the pin in an upright position keeping the door firmly open. From this hold-open position, the door can be closed with minimal effort.

The great thing is that it works on just about any door — interior, entry, sliding, pivot, folding, commercial, industrial, solid and hollow core, and custom-designed.

Two new product ranges to kick sales along

Sales for Fantom Hardware in the 2018/19 financial year could well exceed the $5 million mark, especially as the innovative portfolio expands with the introduction of two exciting new product ranges this year.

Currently the Fantom Premium range offering multiple colour options and designs, includes polished brass sleeves, chrome plated sleeves, soft close pin options, and a premium striker plate.

The Fantom Fire range is suitable for all commercial and industrial applications. The range is thoroughly tested and approved under Australian Fire Standards, as it’s designed specifically to not have a hold open function. This range also comes in a choice of colours.

Now the global network of distributors wait in anticipation for new doorstop solution releases, with the Fantom Elecode and Fantom Defender prototype’s being tested and almost ready for market.

Fantom Hardware takes on the world

Based in South Australia, Fantom Hardware began with a single product from one location. It now has a manufacturing plant in Guangzhou, China and distributors servicing more than 60 countries from 20 partners in 15 countries.

And now, North American homes will have the opportunity to install this modern door stopper.

This year, Fantom Hardware partnered with the Canadian hardware giant Richelieu to bring a co-branded Fantom/Richelieu/Onward range of doorstops (using Fantom patented technology and design) into thousands of homes in the US and Canada.

With a philosophy of remaining at the forefront of design, style and innovation for 21st-century lifestyles, Richelieu’s Nick Tassone was quick to highlight Australian ingenuity.

“At Richelieu, we’re always on the lookout for great innovations to further expand our vast product selection. The Fantom Doorstop makes an excellent addition to our offering under the Onward brand of Residential and Commercial hardware. We’re excited to introduce it to our customer base and delighted to help make this ingenious product a success throughout North America.”

As a leading distributor, importer and manufacturer of specialty hardware and complementary products, Richelieu has been around for over 50 years. Servicing a customer base of more than 80,000 manufacturers and retailers through a network of 70 centres across North America and a high-performance e-commerce website, Richelieu offers a broad mix of more than 110,000 products sourced from suppliers around the world,

Onward is a Residential and Commercial hardware subsidiary brand owned by Richelieu, and the partnership with Fantom goes live in late August.

Excited Fantom CEO Mark Sellar stated, “We are absolutely thrilled to be working with a such a large and reputable company as Richelieu who contacted us after seeing our viral video. They requested more information and asked to see some samples which, after being assessed by Richelieu, passed with applause. The demand we have for this product range is incredible, supplying to Richelieu allows us to service a broader range of customers around the US and Canada.”

As well as keeping a lot of doors open, the Fantom Hardware range of doorstops is also opening many new doors for CEO Mark Sellar and his team. To find out more, email [email protected], or visit www.fantomstop.com
