1) The Frenzy to Find Work

Amid these conditions, an increasing number of job candidates are voicing their frustrations about the difficulty of finding a role. Indeed, a recent survey from the staffing agency Insight Global found that half of those looking were “completely burned out” by the process.

3) 5 Résumé Tips for People Over 50
Inflation and the high cost of living are forcing retirees back into the workplace. A new survey shows that one-quarter of retirees between the ages of 62 and 85 have returned to work, for instance, and another 12% are looking for jobs. At the same time, widespread layoffs are resulting in an increasing number of older workers seeking employment.
Age can be both a positive and negative, of course. On the one hand, employers are looking for experienced candidates with a broad skill set. On the other hand, despite laws against it, age bias is still a real issue in hiring.
Here are some tips on how to craft an age-friendly résumé.

9 个月Korn Ferry It's concerning to see job seekers experiencing burnout despite the increase in job openings. The dichotomy between a growing job market and widespread burnout suggests underlying challenges in the employment landscape. Exploring why individuals struggle to find suitable roles in a seemingly abundant market sheds light on complex factors such as mismatched skill sets or unrealistic job expectations. Additionally, delving into the realm of AI-education courses poses critical questions about their effectiveness and value amidst their rising popularity and costliness.

9 个月Another crap article that doesn't address the unfolding disaster for Gen X and Boomers who've lost jobs and can't get a sniff on new opportunities due to rampant ageism. Korn Ferry, these people are "burned out" because they've got a desire to contribute, *really* want to work, have years of amazing experience to share, but are being ignored because of their age. There are lots of voices on LinkedIn beating this drum. Please join in.
