Fantastic teenagers with Robots
I was privileged to be one of several judges at the VEX Australian National Robotics Championships held at Galen College in Wangaratta on Saturday 3rd December 20016. 32 school teams of which 28 were secondary and 4 primary, from both private and state schools, travelled from NSW, ACT and Victoria to compete and cooperated across several sections of competition. I came away awed by the high standard of social interaction, cooperation, technical skills, and respect demonstrated by those students to each other, their teachers and other adults. And to cap off the day, the 2 Wangaratta based schools, Galen and Borinya faced off in one of the finals. I was not involved as my part of judging was done for the day, with the honours going to team including Galen College.
These students are a credit to themselves, their parents, teachers, and school communities and exceedingly good ambassadors for the whole teenage cohort.

Or just a few minutes of one event.
These students are engaged and learning. The more we can get kids engaged in their studies the better the future for all of us.
Thanks to the VEX Robotics program for providing the opportunity for kids worldwide to develop a passion for knowledge. And thanks to the organisers for inviting me to be one of the Judges.
