Dehumidify the Air instead
When most people discover mold for the first time in their homes they panic and make bad decisions. Their gut reaction is to put a fan on to dry out the water or moisture that is causing the mold to grow. While this is a good idea, if not done properly the home will become completely contaminated with active mold spores along with the HVAC system needing more of a remediation than if they had just made a phone call to a professional instead. Why is this? And when are fans a good idea?
Fans are a good idea when there is no mold present. Why? Mold thrives in stagnant, humid air. And fans keep the air on your home circulating.
