One key phrase I loved from this book was that it was ‘Applied Christianity’.? Energy, manifestation, good vibes when well applied are not New-Age nonesense.? They can be scriptural.

Welcome the FLIP back to the Friday 5x5 - Your friendly weekly missal on using your God-given skills to build a business for good ∞
What is a business for good?
- It makes good money.
- It served its clients well.
- It makes a difference to the world.
- It is built on monthly recurring revenue.
Side quest: How are we feeling after the Christmas break?
Satisfied?
Frazzled?
95% Mince Pie?
I think I have oscillated between the three but am equally chomping at the bit to see this year get started.
I have big plans for you.
I have big plans for me.
I have big goal energy!
This is obviously the time of new year’s resolutions.
The gyms are full of good intentions.
The gratitude journals are out.
The goal posts are set.
And I KNOW we all LOL about the inevitability of not achieving everything you want to.
And I KNOW we will doubtless fall short in some things and slip back into the quality street.
And I KNOW we always set out with the best intentions but life gets in the way.
But do you know what is guaranteed?
You will be followed.
Yes you.
Now don’t rush to the window and see if there is a Welsh Australian outside with a mac and binoculars.
(If there is I can guarantee it’s not me).
You will be followed.
You are always leading.
You are always always making disciples.,
It’s inescapable.
As human beings we are social creatures, tribal at best, sheep at worst.
As for WHO we lead and WHERE we lead them to….
…well that is upto you.
People watch you.
People model you.
People follow.
It’s how we are wired.
We subscribe to certain ideas.
We are repelled by others.
One thing is for certain, you can not walk through life being Switzerland.
There is no neutrality.
There is not status quo either for that matter.
What do you stand for?
Who do you live to serve?
What do you have to share with the world?
People are going to follow you anyway
So why not be a. bit more intentional about it?
We have all these long lists of goals for things we want to do but I think the most pertinent question is:
“Who are you going to be in 2025?”
And from there:
“Who do you want to serve?”
The last recorded words of Jesus were:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations”.
It wasn’t a polite suggestion.
It was a command.
You see, there is a discipleship crisis right now.
People have lost faith in institutions, systems and structures.
People are crying out for voices in the wilderness.
People are crying out for counsel and wisdom.
People pay for advisors, mentors & guides.
Why don’t you step up and answer the call?
I have coined a term called Commercial Discipleship??
It’s the premise that we take who we are, what we know to do and lead others to do the same.
It’s the way we find meaning, mojo and make some very good money.
I know it is because it’s exactly what I’ve done with multiple businesses.
I’m launching a community later this month called the SAINTS.
It’s designed to help established business owners and professionals to do three things:
To BE the leader God has called you to be
To DO the thing he has gifted you to do - monetising your skills.
To HAVE a significantly greater impact and significantly more cash.

Whichever is more the priority for you.

#1 - Celebrate - So rarely business owners actually stop to thank God and feeeel the win
#2 - Commit - We reviewed targets and kept going. Harness the momentum of a win to score more.
