F.AMIL.Y Traveling Exhibition
In 2022, Ami Paris teamed up with Magnum Photos for the first time to create a photographic project on the subject of family. This partnership, called F.AMI.LY, culminated in a traveling exhibition that was held in three international cultural hubs. From Paris and Miami in 2022, the F.AMI.LY exhibition traveled to its last stop at Photofairs Shanghai this April 20th to 23rd.
“Photography is one of my favorite art forms—I love the stories it tells; I love the lives, the moments, the places that it features; I love the reflection that it inevitably evokes. That’s why FAMILY is a project that I care about deeply. Collaborating with the iconic Magnum Photos agency and its talented artists was an extraordinary experience. It was also a unique opportunity to be able to put into images the theme of family in the broadest sense—which is so essential to the genesis and the quotidian of AMI—and to be able to promote the authentic values that characterize our brand since its inception.”
—Alexandre Mattiussi, Founder and Creative Director, AMI
About The Traveling Exhibition
Thirteen photographers from Magnum Photos and two guest videographers from twelve different countries were commissioned to interpret what family means to them. Ami Paris gave carte blanche to to the artists allowing them to approach the theme in their own way with complete artistic freedom. In total, seventy-four photographs and two short films were produced and a selection among those were showcased around the globe.
