FAMILY

I remember back in 300 level when i had a very tough time in school, i was mentally drained and somewhat depressed all i wanted to do was hear from family or just go home.

To think that i always wanted to live far from my parents cause i needed freedom and wanted to be independent and here i was craving their presence. I would call them every night crying asking them to pray for me cause i was no longer feeling good about life amidst the confusion they would pray and one day my mum came over to my school to pick me up. I felt so happy like a kid being picked up after their first day in creche (lol) .

There is really no place like home, and home is not the building but the people in it.

No matter how strong we think we are there is always a place in our heart that loves the attention, love and care from family and once again we have that opportunity to bond without the excuse of work or whatever.

It's Christmas in 3 days time and i wish you nothing short of happiness and love that comes with the Christmas celebration. Use this period to reflect, appreciate life, live more in the moment and get ready for the new year.

GENUINE CONNECTION

If someone walked up to you and said they wanted to marry you or get in a relationship with you, even though they fit your physical spec or not you would want to observe their actions to see if they mean what they say. How interested are they in getting to know you as a person? Do they just like you cause you are fine and wanted by all?

By the way, its not a bad thing to like someone cause they are fine but if you want a deeper connection with them it has to be more than mere attraction to their physical beauty or financial status.

That's important in your search for a good life, Yes you are in need of clients or a good job and you have the skill but what do you offer to get that?

Your desire to help, connect with people and offer value genuinely needs to be stronger than your desire for money.

Why?

People tend to remember how you made them feel and it gives them a reason to trust you and want to continue the relationship. Brands aren't just looking for people with the hard skills but those who have both soft and hard skills. If you love to offer value you would care enough to ensure that your clients are always satisfied as much as you are (win-win).

2024 is in a few days, change your approach and be more interested in your clients than their money.

GRATITUDE

I clocked 24 few days ago and one thing that got me smiling was just the beauty of life with genuine people around. 23 pushed me hard and it showed me another way of how life should be lived ''fearlessly''. 24 will be an amazing one and when next i'm writing a newsletter it would be in another country where i'm sitting out and enjoying the fresh breeze and new people. I want to travel the world and i know i will but most importantly i want my life to impact people in a positive light.

Sometimes i catch myself smiling, tearing up ( happy tears) and i just want to live a life pleasing to God. Life is beautiful when you shift your focus from the negative and focus on the ''positive'', ''now'', ''present moment''. I have lived a long time of my life being scared, playing safe and dwelling on the past that's why i'm so appreciative of this phase of my life and passionate about spreading the Good-news.

If you want to move forward you need to leave the past in the past and also make decisions that ''need'' to be made ASAP.
