I started my career as a Compensation Consultant in 1997 with a small boutique firm called Noble & Hewitt (now Aon ) and spent the next 12 years specializing in the subject. Given the growing importance of pay around the world and especially in India, I began to promote and grow the Brand of Compensation!
In 2002, we held our first press conference at The Oberoi Hotel in New Delhi sharing the results of our Salary Increase Survey (SIS) which was fast becoming the bible for all organizations when it came to matters related to Pay.
In 2004, we launched “Around the world with Total Rewards” a knowledge sharing forum that traveled across Asia bringing together all reward professionals.
In 2005, we partnered with CNBC and ran the first show in India which put the spotlight on Pay & Performance.
In 2008, it was time to put all this wisdom into a handbook and this led to our first publication – “Managing Compensation in Asia”.
A big shout out and Kudos to all C&B/Reward professionals that continue to invest their time and energy designing and executing pay programs achieving the fine balance between meeting the needs of the organization and people!
