Fall seven times, rise eight

Fall seven times, rise eight

I’m only 22.

I’m young, but I’ve experienced a lot in my short existence since May of 2000. Some of my experiences will stick with me forever — for better or worse.

Here are some of the valuable lessons which I choose to learn from and take with me wherever I go. I hope some of my reflections will benefit you and bring value to you as well.

1.???Experience in life is essential for growth

Your entire existence — everything you’ve come to know, your perspective of the world and life itself — is a result of experience. The way you talk, walk, act and think — that is all learned through experience. The way you treat others, how you determine what you like and dislike — all a result of experience.

Experience teaches us good and bad. It teaches us right and wrong. It teaches us morals and manners. It teaches us to value happy moments and in fact sad moments. It teaches us guilt, pleasure, pain, spirituality and consciousness.

2.???Success can only be achieved through suffering and pain

Choose to see difficulty and failure in life as a stepstone to get closer to your goals and dreams.

In life we face many difficulties which can either break us or make us. The outcome is your decision.

Throughout my journey, it has become clearer that the toughest moments we go through shape us for the best – mentally, spiritually and emotionally.

I’m a firm believer that trials in life are some of our greatest blessings. Pain is essential for self-growth. Without pain, we would not evolve, change, blossom, strive and get the strength to grind harder for one sake, our purpose.

Choose to see difficulty and failure in life as a stepstone to get closer to your goals and dreams.

3.???People come to you as a lesson

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.

People come to you either as a blessing or as a lesson – either way, both of them provide lifetime lessons.

The truth is, bad people often teach us more than good people. The most unpleasant and toxic people in our lives end up making us kinder, wiser, stronger and more empathetic.

4.???Mindset is everything

?Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional..

Your mind is powerful and more than you can ever imagine. I’ve come to realization that the quality of our life corresponds directly to the quality of our thoughts.

The way you look at the world, is how it will appear for you! Therefore, be aware of the thoughts you allow to consume your mind and emotions.

5.???Every setback calls for a rise!

I believe in our ability to be resilient. The spirit of the comeback is so strong and fierce. It lives within us all, untapped but ready. You can start over if that’s what’s required.

Rewrite your story and welcome this new person of yours. You are not meant to be the same person you were a year ago. You’re now walking on earth with more strength, knowledge, insight and power.

It’s okay to fall but always make sure to stand up again knowing that God is supporting you.

You were designed to pursue your passion in life. Don’t let anyone or any circumstance stop you from chasing what you were meant to be and achieve in life.

Keep going no matter how hard you fall.
