Fall is Robotic Season in Ohio

The 34 Robotic and Automation students in the Tri-Rivers Career Center RAMTEC program in Marion, Ohio recently finished another highly successful robotics season. Our students earned more than $150,000 worth of real world industrial robotic certifications. The facility was inspired 6 years ago by local educational and manufacturing leaders as a way to promote advanced manufacturing careers in Central Ohio schools. Marion has a history of robotic state, local and national contests and events.

There was a huge demand for highly skilled technicians and the advanced training needed to meet the needs of our regional manufacturing leaders such as MTD, Honda, NUCOR, RobotWorx, Whirlpool, US Yachiyo, Cardington Yutaka, PGW, Xigent Automated Solutions and Worthington Industries.

Tri-Rivers leaders and staff built the Robotics Advanced Manufacturing Technical Education Collaborative to meet the demand our secondary, post-secondary and incumbent workforce.

Students get real world certifications while earning college credits from Marion Technical College for completing projects that lead them to great paying careers in Robotics and Automation. Last year's graduating class had 16 students working in the field before graduation. They averaged more than $15 per hour before they left high school at companies such as RobotWorx, Whirlpool, Xigent Automated Solutions, Houser Racing and Stillings and Sons.
