Fall Internship Experience at Feel Good Edibles

I was fortunate to be chosen as a Feel Good Edibles financial analyst intern for the fall of 2022. I'm excited to share my experience and my adventure during my internship.

Feel Good Edibles is a manufacturer and provider of food products known for its CBD candy with fruity flavors. The business is committed to helping consumers feel good now to have a happy tomorrow.

Thanks to my previous experience as a financial data analyst and skills gained at The University of Texas at Dallas, I was more involved and visible in decision-making. I had the opportunity to work on many projects this fall as a Financial Analyst Intern. To give the investor perspective, I created the long-term financial Proforma, which covered fund allocation, operational costs, ratio analysis, profitability analysis,?sensitivity analysis, three statement models, and cash flow assumptions.

With the team, I had the chance to present a venture capital firm to secure seed investment for the SAFE (Simple Agreement for Future Equity) Note. As I prepared and responded to the VC firm's financial-related inquiries across all phases of the capital raising process, it enabled me to grasp the financial needs of an early-stage business. I worked with the marketing, operations, and investor relations departments throughout my internship. I oversaw the financial operations under the FP&A team.?During my internship experience, I improved my technical skills in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks.

The most crucial lesson I could take away from this internship is that we need to push ourselves daily. You'll be able to choose a new direction for your job if you permit yourself to be a hard worker?and receptive to criticism. With this mindset, we will have the opportunity to learn something new every day.

I want to thank my manager Stephen Terrano for assisting me at every opportunity. Overall, my experience throughout this internship has been valuable and will further my career. I want to express my gratitude to everyone who has supported and encouraged me.
