Fall Back or Fall Forward?

Fall Back or Fall Forward?

Yesterday we set our clocks back 1 hour, and here is a tip to get the most out of your day by only “falling back” 40 minutes and start your day 20 minutes earlier than you are currently doing.

I used to think wow 6:00am is as early as I want to wake up, until I started getting up at 5:30. I now wake up at 5:00.

Why?

Because the things I want in life aren’t going to come easy.

Think about it.

If you just added 20 extra minutes per day, with 365 days in a year, gives you almost 122 hours that you didn't have before, which equates to 5 full days!

What are you going to do with an extra work week?

Learn a new skill, spend time reading a book, or The Book, exercise, finish a project, or even start one that has been looming over you?

The difference from getting what you want in life is simply hard work, no magic shortcut, no quick fix, just plain hard work, striving for incremental improvements over time.

Learning what we can, where we can, from whomever we can.

I’m not where I want to be in life but I can tell you I’m a better person than I was at this time last year, and a completely different person than I was 10, or even 5 years ago. This may all sound self righteous, and it certainly does, if you don’t truly know me. You see, I am a driven individual with goals that can only be accomplished if I get better. And since I'm not really that smart, or talented I need to work twice as hard as everyone else. This starts with me getting a head start.

I've heard it said that you can win any race you want to if you get enough of a head start. So I am taking advantage of the extra time every day to work toward my goals.

It is true that we all have the same amount of time, but those that are the most successful use the time to their advantage.

How?

By using these small amounts of time to accomplish big goals. So get up early, and start being the person you want to be by falling forward 20 extra minutes a day.

Amazing what just a few minutes a day can add up to. Great hack of taking a fraction of daylight savings to make it happen!
