Fall into fall

There is a cool settling in the air as autumn approaches. Like a sweet kiss after a long day, the breeze that greets us as dusk settles is a reminder that the heat is  fading, and winter is coming. Fall is one of my favorite times of year. I love the way the mountains turn more purple in twilight. I love snuggling into a cozy sweatshirt to ward off any speck of Southern California chill. I love the way the shadows lengthen to stretch forward the slant of light—moving us from all the momentum that’s been boiling throughout the year into the calm, confidence of coolness. We are all so blessed to be exactly where we are now, no matter what we’ve been through or what lies ahead. As the days get shorter, and the seasons of lobster & football (Who Dat!) begin, I hope that you look around to see what you’ve built. We’ve come a long way, baby, and the best is yet to come!
