Fall 2024 internship learnings

During my Fall 2024 internship at The IDEA Center at the University of Notre Dame , I gained valuable experience working on a variety of software development projects. I worked with cutting-edge technologies like ReactJS, Node.js, and Express to develop responsive web applications and implement back-end systems. This role helped me refine my skills in both front-end and back-end development, including designing RESTful APIs, working with databases, and ensuring seamless application performance.

The internship provided a fast-paced, dynamic environment where I learned how to manage my time effectively, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adapt to rapidly changing project requirements. One of the key takeaways from this experience was the importance of clear communication and strong problem-solving skills, especially when collaborating with diverse teams. I also gained a deep appreciation for the startup ecosystem and the entrepreneurial spirit that drives innovation.

I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and enhance my technical skills. Working alongside talented professionals, I was able to broaden my understanding of software development and how technology can create meaningful solutions. This experience has equipped me with the confidence and skills needed to tackle complex challenges in the future.

In addition to the technical expertise gained, my internship allowed me to build strong professional connections, receive valuable mentorship, and improve my personal growth. The knowledge I gained through this internship has inspired me to continue pursuing opportunities that allow me to apply my skills in full-stack development, and I look forward to leveraging these lessons in future endeavours.
