Fall 2023 Internship experience at Theatro

I am delighted to share that I have been fortunate enough to receive an extension for another semester as an Intern Data Analyst at Theatro Labs Inc. for the Fall of 2023. Theatro is a technology firm based in Dallas that is renowned for creating the first voice-activated enterprise wearable for manufacturing, hospitality, and brick-and-mortar retail. Through its Software as a Service (SaaS) offering, the company provides a "heads up, hands free" mobile solution comprising a software suite of productivity and communication apps designed to optimize employee, sales, and operational performance. Theatro collaborates with some of the top retailers in the country.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to Ravi Shankar Kumar for extending the offer for the fall internship. In this new phase, I transitioned into a role within the Data Team, where I took ownership of most of the delivery reports. Additionally, I played a crucial role in monitoring the Data Production and Delivery status of reports and pipelines. My role evolved into a cross-team position, allowing me to collaborate on various projects with other teams. The concept of ownership became a cornerstone of my experience during this time.

A key aspect of my responsibilities involved setting up reports for new clients and managing their deployment. Daily tasks included retrieving data, constructing logical SQL queries, and creating insightful dashboards. I honed my skills in Power BI, which emerged as a significant new skill during my tenure. I also supported Business teams by fulfilling their data requirements for product pitches, self-service analysis, and identifying areas for improvement. Notably, I recently contributed to pulling data that significantly aided the business team in a feature pitch with a client, earning high praise.

I am sincerely appreciative of the company for providing me with the fantastic opportunity to collaborate with such exceptional individuals. I would like to convey my gratitude to Professor Gaurav Shekhar and Sivya Leventhal for their guidance and assistance. This internship has afforded me the chance to develop fundamental technical abilities that will undoubtedly benefit my future professional endeavors.
