Groundwork BioAg had a momentous Fall 2022.?From Egypt to Iowa, we brought our messages from the fields of Mazor to many global stages.
Groundwork BioAg on the Ground
We were honored and excited to be one of ten Israeli companies selected by?Planetech?to take part in Israel’s?first official delegation?to?COP27!?
We began our journey by presenting our innovations to President Isaac Herzog alongside our fellow honorees.?
We then crossed the Sinai desert in our low-carbon convoy to Sharm el-Sheikh where we spent three packed days at the official Israeli pavilion.?
In partnership with the?Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs?and?Israel Export Institute, we networked with the private and public sectors and shared the story of soil, crop resilience, and mycorrhizal carbon sequestration on the most global of platforms.?
We were also honored to be invited to speak on Critical Food and Ag Perspectives as part of the?Borlaug Dialogues at the 2022 World Food Prize?in Des Moines, Iowa.?
CEO Yossi Kofman spoke about how our mycorrhizal solution supports food security and mitigates climate change at a roundtable alongside Marco Ferroni, Chair of?CGIAR | Climate-smart agriculture?System Board and?Amanda Leland, Executive Director of the?Environmental Defense Fund.

Meanwhile, back in Tel Aviv, another team of Groundworkers represented Groundwork BioAg at?Agrivest 2022, Israel’s largest food and agtech investor conference.?We told the story of mycorrhiza to investors, researchers, business leaders, and agronomists and often heard in response, “we’ve been following your growth - impressive!”?What a signal that the mycelia of our message are starting to spread beyond the immediate rhizosphere of our agtech community!?

Bari Ruimy?is a Certified Public Accountant with over a decade of experience in the global specialty fertilizer industry.?Before joining Groundwork BioAg, Bari served as Director of Finance and FP&A at the ICL Group’s Agricultural Innovation Solutions division and held a variety of managerial positions in global finance.?Bari holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Economics from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
