Please do NOT "fake it until you make it"; it is all the faking that has caused some of the fundamental issues society faces today!
Unrealistic expectations are causing people to feel like they are not good enough, others are losing respect for those faking it as they see straight through their lies & some are even suffering from mental illness due to the disconnect with their authentic selves. This is just as applicable to founders who are trying to navigate today’s tough market & investors.
Asking customers to promote your business is great but inflating sales is simply LYING so let's call it what it is. If your business intentionally makes a promise it can't deliver on, you may have made one sale but you have surely LOST a customer for life. Rather than delivering an app that doesn't fully function, why not openly build the app alongside your customers as a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) & increase your success rate? Why not focus on providing the best customer experience to build a high Net Promoter Score (NPS) & bring in more customer referrals?
I am by no means implying that these suggestions are easy, but they are the right thing to do. What #innovation & #entrepreurship need now more than ever is "courage". The courage to do the right thing rather than do what is easy, the courage to be REAL & the courage to take calculated risk.
The world needs you to be authentic & to stop faking it. It needs you to take the right action & start faithing it instead; please "FAITH it until you make it".

1 年Nicely put, Tala. If both parties collaborate instead of simply seeing it as a "Done deal, onto the next one", that's how we should "faith it until we make it" Partnership is the only way to creating a win-win situation for all parties involved.

1 年Great insight as usual. i also always disliked that mantra. Faith it is much better. ? Another i dislike and feel hurts society in a way of commercialism and also new generations of entitlement. "Money does not grow on trees." Heard it a lot during childhood, so definitely negatively Biased, yet why not something actually helpful. "Money does not grow on trees, but the parts of the tree provide value to many".
