Have you ever found yourself in a dark moment in life and asked God why? You are not alone in this. Today, I will share my perspective on Faith in Christ with you. #TalkWise

When I was a child, I was taught that life would be easier if I believed in God and accepted Him as my Lord and personal Savior. Sunday school was the usual gathering for every child in the church to listen to the word or properly recite a quotation from the bible. Sunday School teachings were all about positivity; how your life would be easier if you follow Christ, how you can become the greatest person you want to be, and all other achievements in your life. However, my Sunday School teacher never told me that life could be difficult, or that God was going to test my Faith. They never gave me verses that say to follow Christ, you get tested, tempted, and how to overcome it.?

Hebrews 2:18 reads: NKJV For in that he himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.?

My Encounter With God

When I encountered Christ, I had a different view of what Faith is. Faith is the ability to withstand trials in the face of adversity. That is my perspective of Faith or my definition of Faith in God.

As I grew up, and I started to face trials, I didn't understand. I sometimes felt no, “This is not my story and this is not me.” Why should I go through this?? Family says, “Go to church, give your life to Christ, be a good girl, stay away from troubles and your life will be smooth." Nobody prepared me for adversity. Absolutely ‘nobody.’ I figured it out when I encountered God.

When things got tough, it was a hard time for me. I? went from being a ‘happy girl’ to a ‘sad girl’. If people around me had prepared me for this test, maybe I wouldn’t have felt like all hope was lost. I would have embraced it and known how to tackle whatever came before me.?

Romans 5:3? And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;?

Discovering My Footing In Faith

When I discovered my footing in my beliefs, my perspective on Faith in God took a new turn. I realized that Faith was not just about believing in God, but it was about trusting in Him even in the face of adversity. I learned that trials and tribulations are part of life, but with Faith in God, I can overcome them.

One of the bible verses that resonated with me during this time was,?

James 1:2-4. It says, "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials; Knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing."?

This verse taught me that trials are not meant to break me, but to strengthen my Faith and build my character.

Another verse that helped me during this time was,

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 which says, "And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness”. Therefore Most gladly, I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore, I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong."?

This verse reminded me that even in my weakest moments, God's strength is made perfect and I can find peace and comfort in Him.

Finding my footing in my beliefs has helped me to understand that Faith is not just a word, but a way of life. It is the anchor that keeps me grounded even in the midst of life's storms. As I continue to walk in Faith, I am reminded of the words of:

Hebrews 11:1 says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."??????
