FAITH

This verse from the Bible keeps coming up for me repeatedly amidst this corona virus chaos.

Everything that is happening seems like from a zombie movie. I never thought that in my lifetime we would experience something so crazy.

Anyway, with so many families and businesses being directly and indirectly affected in a myriad of ways by the global measures being taken, fear of getting the virus is only one of the worries. Fear of running out of food, running out of money to buy food, how to pay our bills has been in the forefront of our minds. We ask....how can this be? What are we to do???

I don't have the answer of where the money will come from or how all of this will turn out. The only place I can turn to right now is to my faith in God as my (and our) Provider and Guide. I have felt fear for my family, my kids, my friends and others who are small business owners and are now faced with such uncertainty.

Yet this verse in particular soothes my soul because it inspires me to have ASSURANCE and CONVICTION. These are strong words that sustain me and keep me going, in spite of what I'm seeing with the physical eyes. I am determined to believe and have faith in what it says and do my best to feel it.

Things hoped for: a quick and positive resolution in the best interest of all involved and affected.

Of things unseen: what I see does not determine what I know to be true,and I affirm this steadfastly!!! No matter what.

P.S.: this is not an easy practice when faced with such uncertainty. It takes consistency and prayer. But, what is the alternative? Fear? I've had enough of that.
