Monday 10/12/2020 - Day 195 – Quarantined

After hearing that two friends I have known have passed away from Covid-19, I was very sad and angry at this Pandemic and how it has taken over 200,000 lives in the USA out of 2.1 Million lives all over the World! Last night I was wondering what we could have done or what can we do in the future to prevent such enormous loss of lives. I felt so angry, helpless and depressed!

I turned on the TV, usually the last thing I go to when I feel sad. However, I ended up tuning to my favorite channel PBS and got cut watching a documentary. 

If you get a chance, watch this documentary. it is an amazing story of Mayo Brothers and the Clinic they managed and grow ………... it is called Mayo Clinic; Faith, Hope, Science ... by Ken Burns.

I was thinking that @Simon Sinek and @Simon Sinek Inc. would be happily surprised that so many years ago, Mayo Brothers ran their hospitals infinitely and they did the right thing! 

During the war, Mayo Brothers never laid off a single employee, they created Mayo dollars to help their staff to pay for foo and rent, they worked with other medical institutions to focus on finding the cure for diseases instead of competing, and they treated patients FREE!! 

As I watched this documentary, through tears and feeling of loss, I regained hope for the future! I felt joy in my heart and a lot of hope that our World can be healed and well again!

I am grateful for the doctors, health care providers, and all who work in the healthcare industry, putting in the long hours, and doing the right thing!
